* Call to Worship       adapted from Psalm 139

* Affirmation of Faith        The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.

Invitation to Confession

Admitting Our Sin to God

God, we admit that we are sinful and suffer from the torment of sin that finds no tears for repentance. Our minds are lost  in the torture moral confusion. We know the anguish of hearts divided by unseen adversaries and torn by our failure to honor You. Show all who are in such pain that in Your great mercy we may be carried by Your forgiveness and lifted by Your strength, with our feet set in a broad place and our lives anchored in that peace we cannot obtain on our own, through Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. (silent, personal confession)  AMEN

The Sacrament of the Lords Supper

The Lord be with you.  And also with you.

Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

It is right to give our thanks and praise.

. . . who forever sing to the glory of your name:

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory.    Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

. . . that our lives may proclaim the One crucified and risen.

According to his commandment: We remember his death, we proclaim his resurrection, we await his coming in glory.

Now as we have been taught, let us pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.   Amen.
