* Call to Worship  adapted from Psalm 30

* Affirmation of Faith        The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.  AMEN.

* Prayer of Invocation

Invitation to Confession

Admitting Our Sin to God

Heavenly Father, we live in an age which teaches us to rely only upon human striving and ability. We are told that the fruits of scientific research and greater individual or community effort will provide us with all we need for life. Worst of all, for the most part, we live as if we believe it. God of mercy, forgive us for not trusting You enough; for not seeing Your greatness and power; for not organizing our lives in ways that glorify You, our Creator, Redeemer and Lord. Father, hear our prayer for the sake of Jesus, Who has redeemed us and makes us new.  (time of silent, personal confession)  AMEN

The Sacrament of the Lords Supper

The Lord be with you.  And also with you.

Lift up your hearts. We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

It is right to give our thanks and praise.

. . .

. . . and lift our voices in joyful praise: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

. . .

Our Father, Who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:  For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.  AMEN.

Please sign the blue attendance pad and join us in the Fellowship Hall for coffee and light refreshments following the worship service.

TODAY - We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper. In the Presbyterian Church (USA), all who sincerely trust in Jesus Christ and Him alone, for the forgiveness of sin, are invited to partake, including baptized children with parental permission.
